How to achieve the no makeup makeup look

It’s hard to deny that a bold and glam makeup look can make you feel ready to take on anything. A simple makeup look can make you feel polished and well-groomed. This is the ideal amount of makeup to use every day, when you just need a little boost.

As I work at home, I tend to go for a no-makeup look every day. I only use a little makeup when I need to attend virtual meetings. When I look awake, I feel more able to get through the day.

What is no-makeup make up? No-makeup makeup is a look that enhances your natural features with minimal makeup. It can be worn in many ways, but it usually involves a little brow gel, skin tone, mascara, gloss, and perhaps some blush – depending on what you think you need.

Step one – the perfect base

The first step to a no-makeup, makeup look is to ensure that your base is hydrated. It should be glowing and hydrated to look fresh and awake. Start by cleansing, moisturising and applying SPF. Follow up with a primer, before applying your makeup base. Bobbi’s Vitamin Enriched Face base is a gem for perfecting your makeup base. Rich and non-greasy yet hydrating and softening skin instantly with shea butter, and a trio vitamins.

Wear a tinted moisturizer and leave it at that. Spot conceal is a great option if you want a little more coverage. As a foundation, I’ve been using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. It doesn’t cover much (because it is a primer), but it gives my skin a beautiful glow.

Step 2 – Bronze and Blush

Cream blushes will give you a natural and beautiful flush. You can use cream blushes on your lips to add colour. A cream bronzer can be used to warm up the face and make it look like you’ve just returned from a tropical vacation. Liquid and cream products will enhance your natural features better than powders!

Recenty I’ve been using the Soft Pinch Liquid Blushfrom Rare Beauty. They come in a variety of shades, and are a lightweight, long-lasting liquid that blends beautifully and builds up for a healthy, soft flush. Milk Makeup matte Bronzersare great for bronzers. Simply swipe on cheekbones and forehead and blend using a brush or sponge to achieve a sun-kissed look.

Step Three: Brows

Tinting your eyebrows is a great way to save time while getting ready. After that, you can either brush them through or use brow gel to tame them. Ardell Brow tints is a good option because it is a safe, effective and long-lasting tint. Mix the powder color with the conditioning developer and apply. Wait a few minutes, then wipe away for beautifully defined arches. The easiest way to enhance your brows without makeup is by tinting them.

After you have achieved the color of your dreams, seal it with Ardell clear Brow Sculpting Gel. The ultimate makeup bag essential, simply brush your brows to define them and get all-day hold.

Step Three: Lashes

It makes me look awake and gives depth to my eyes. You can use mascara as a brow gel, so you get two products in one. Brown mascara is a good option if you want something subtler and not too dark.

It’s the Clinique Mascara. The thin brush is perfect for adding length to your lashes, rather than thickening, giving you a more natural look. On my no-makeup makeup days, I like to add two or three individual eyelashes. It gives me that extra length by giving a fuller look at the end of my lashes. The double individual by Ardell Lashes are my go-to lashes. They’re easy to apply and look natural.

Step Four – Lips

The Dior Lip Glow oil will give you a glossy finish and add a subtle colour to your lips. It also hydrates them for a perfect glow. This non-sticky oil formula gives you the shine and comfort of a lip gloss while also hydrating your lips.
