Auckland to host Beauty Nation Event

Auckland’s Shed 10 will be transformed into a beauty haven on the 6th and 7th of May for a new beauty event called Coachella of Beauty.

The impressive two-day festival experience includes seminars, masterclasses and beauty bargains. There are also pamper stations and drag sensations. Six interactive zones will be available at the event – Retail Lane, Beauty School Pamper Lounge Drag Zone Aotearoa Made and a unique Man Cave.

Beauty Nation co-founder Chrissy ve says that she is excited to provide a unique experience for beauty enthusiasts.

She says, “We all know that there is a desire for human contact after a difficult couple of years in the events industry, and a gap on the market for Kiwi beauty consumers. So what better time to bring something special and unique for beauty lovers to our doorstep?”

The event will feature a variety of brands, including Antipodes and BraveFace. Other popular brands include Glow Lab, ed&i Linden Leaves and OMni Balms.

Beauty Nation will be a weekend that everyone will remember. It is the only event to celebrate diversity and cultural inclusion. The event will feature keynote speeches from Antipodes CEO Elizabeth Barbalich and ed&i’s Edna Swart. They will also be joined by the ed&i founder Edna Swart and the reality TV star Edna Swart. There will also be a drag show and meet-and-greet by Kita Mean, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down UnderSeason 1.

“I feel honoured to have been invited to participate in this historic event for New Zealand’s beauty industry. Since over a decade, my drag makeup signature has been my most closely-guarded secret. But now at Beauty Nation, I will finally reveal all of my secrets! I’ll be performing some things that have never been seen before in the Drag District at the festival, and I cannot wait to share the fun with all those who come along. “Who knows, you may get to have me do your makeup,” teases Mean.

Tickets are on sale now. Day passes start at $39. Tickets are available in VIP versions.

Beauty Nation is proudly sponsored by Auckland Unlimited Movenpick Hotels & Resorts and The Edge.
